Pretty in Pink: A Protein-Boosted Berry Smoothie

When energy feels flat, cravings creep in, or meals start to feel unstructured, having one reliable, nourishing option makes all the difference.

This bright, protein-boosted smoothie is designed to be light but genuinely satisfying — supporting steady energy without heaviness.

Built around berries, beetroot, and a scoop of clean protein, it delivers fibre, antioxidants, and protein in a form that’s easy to digest and quick to prepare. It works well as a simple breakfast, a reset after richer meals, or a calm way to support appetite and energy through the day.

It’s not a detox or a replacement for real food — just a practical, hormone-aware option that fits real life.

Ingredients

Serves 1

  • 120 g strawberries (fresh or frozen)

  • 60 g raspberries (fresh or frozen)

  • 80 g cooked beetroot (steamed, peeled)

  • 30 g clean protein powder
(whey isolate or plant protein with ≥20 g protein per scoop)

  • 200 ml cold water or unsweetened almond milk

  • Ice cubes, optional

Protein: ~25–28 g (brand dependent)
Fibre: high (berries + beetroot)
Added sugar: none

Why this combination works

  • Protein supports sustained energy and satiety

  • Berries provide fibre and antioxidants with minimal sugar load

  • Beetroot supports circulation and metabolic efficiency

Texture note:
You can replace some or all of the liquid with Greek yoghurt for a thicker, more filling smoothie. If using yoghurt, start with 100 g yoghurt + 100 ml water/almond milk and adjust to taste

Method

Thermomix® or blender
Blend everything until smooth and bright
